| Obituary:
Roland John Bucciferro, beloved husband of Ilda Bucciferro, passed away on June 19, 2009 in Ossining, NY. He was born in Yonkers, NY on July 30, 1932, son of the late Domenic and Theresa Velardo Bucciferro. Roland served his country with the US Navy during the Korean War. He achieved his dream of running his own business and was owner and president of Vacumatic Sales Company in Pleasantville, NY for over twenty years. Roland also pursued his passion for photography by working part time as a photographer at weddings and other occasions. He had a love of music, playing the trumpet with local bands for many years and was also an avid gardener.
Besides his wife, Roland is survived by his children: Ann and John Haaland of Highland, NY, Ellen and Michael Eckelman of New Paltz, NY, Robert and Mary Bucciferro of Seymour, CT, James and Beth Bucciferro of Beacon Falls, CT and Christopher and Gina Bucciferro of Fairfield, CT. Also, Luisa Betrus of Ramsey, NJ, Nando and Sarah DeLuca of Ridgefield, CT and Enrico and Lena DeLuca of Huntington, NY.
Roland also leaves behind fifteen grandchildren: Britt and Alyssa, Emily and Samuel, Thomas and Ryan, Hannah and Cara, Christina and Kimberly, Daniel, David and John, and Michael and Nicole.
He will be missed by all.
