She is a graduate of Saunders High School, Westchester Community College and California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, CA. She was co-owner of Jennifer’s Kitchen and Catering and previously Main Street Deli, both located in Mount Kisco, NY.
She is survived by her husband Richard T. Sheridan, brother and sister-in-law Nelson and Jeanne, brother Richard, sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Alfred Doucet, and the many “apples of her eyes” nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Beecher Funeral Home, Inc. in Pleasantville, NY on Saturday, May 9, 2009. Visitation is at 1:00pm followed by a Buddhist ceremony at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Liver Transplant Program at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Transplantation is an important cause to us with mom (Hideko) having had a liver transplant and Jennifer having her organs harvested for a # of other families. Some families are better off right now b/c of Jenn's donations and that makes us feel better knowing her .
Checks can be made out to: NewYork-Presbyterian Fund, Inc. (please indicate on the memo line of the check Liver Transplant Program/Jennifer Ota) and mail to:
