| Obituary:
John F. Perrotta of Somers, formerly of Pleasantville, died Tuesday, April 14, at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. He was eighty years old. John was born on November 2, 1928, in Cerisano, Italy, to Louis and Adelina Perrotta. His family immigrated to the United States and lived in Pleasantville. He married Patricia Coyle in September, 1963, at Our Lady of Pompeii Church and was a lifetime parishioner at Holy Innocents Church in Pleasantville. John proudly served as a sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. For many years, he owned Perrotta’s Fruit Stand, started by his father and located at the Four Corners in Thornwood. John is survived by his wife, Patricia, his daughters, Adelina Perrotta of Briarcliff and Mary Rich and her husband, Myles, of North Salem, and his grandchildren, Elizabeth and John Rich. He is also survived by his sisters, Eva Muoio of Pleasantville, Mary Filice and her husband, Louis, of Pleasantville, and Ann D’Agostino of Danbury. He was predeceased by one sister, Josephine Santelli. The family will receive friends at the Beecher Funeral Home, Inc. in Pleasantville, Thursday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM at Holy Innocents R.C. Church in Pleasantville. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Pleasantville. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Rosary Hill Nursing Home 600 Linda Ave. Hawthorne, New York, a charity John supported.
