Adrienne T. Bille

Obituary:

Adrienne T. Bille passed from her life on Earth into her new life in Heaven on October 29, 2010. 
            She is together again with her beloved husband, Domenick M. Bille.  She has also joined her parents, Thomas and Jennie (nee Bisagna) Rubino, her sister Mildred, her father-in-law Leo Bille, her mother-in-law Santa (nee Ionadi) Bille, and many other family and friends.
            Adrienne was born July 29, 1922, in Brooklyn, NY.  She grew up in Brooklyn, where she attended Bay Ridge High School, where she met her future husband Domenick.  Adrienne and Dom were married at Our Lady of Angels Church in Brooklyn on September 9, 1945 after Dom returned from WW II.  They were completely devoted to each other and true soul mates.
            During her career, Adrienne worked for Harper and Brothers Publishing Company in New York City, where she met many authors and magazine writers.  She also worked as an Executive Secretary for the New York City Board of Education.
            Adrienne had a wonderful sense of humor and a warm smile.  She was an avid Bingo player.  She loved to laugh, to dance and travel with her husband, to crochet, to cook and to spend time with her family.  In her younger years she volunteered as a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader.  After moving to Pleasantville, she became a communicant of Holy Innocents Church, as well as a member of their Parish Council.  Adrienne also enjoyed being an active member of The Pleasantville Senior Center, where she made many friends.
            Adrienne is survived by her loving daughter, Leonora Garfield, her loving son-in-law, Michael Garfield, her beloved granddaughter Bethany Bille Garfield, her sister-in-law, Nina Bernardo, several cousins, and close friends.
            Adrienne was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a good friend to many.  Adrienne faced her long illness with courage, dignity and a great love for family and god.  We will miss her more than words can express.  Our loss is Heaven’s gain.
            Visiting hours Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Beecher Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville, NY.  Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10 AM, Holy Innocents R.C. Church, Pleasantville, NY.  Interment Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY
