Antonio (Tony) Cannizzaro of Pleasantville, NY, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Phelps Memorial Hospital, Sleepy Hollow, NY, surrounded by his loving family.Tony was born in Mt. Kisco, NY on November 23, 1929 to Vincenza Galeano-Cannizzaro and Rosario Cannizzaro. He was married on October 28, 1961 to Antonia Terrana. Tony was pre-deceased by his parents and his brother, Salvatore Cannizzaro. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Sadie and Philip Micalizzi, his wife, Antonia, his sons, Roy and Joseph Cannizzaro, daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and AJ Nikolatos, grandsons, Jason and Andrew Nikolatos, cousins JoAnne and Salvatore Talio and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him. The family will receive friends at the Beecher Funeral Home, Inc, in Pleasantville, today, Saturday from 7 – 9 PM and on Sunday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM at Our Lady of Pompeii R.C. Church in Pleasantville. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Tony's memory to American Lung Association, 700 Veterens Memorial Highway, Hauppauge, NY 11788. |
