| Obituary:
Joanne C. Collins (nee Duffy), wife, mother, sister, friend, nurse, went to Heaven on May 1st, 2010. Resident of Sleepy Hollow, NY, formerly of Throggs Neck, NY.
Joanne was born to Patrick and Joan Duffy on April 28. She was a devoted wife to Brian M. Collins, a beloved mother to Erin, Danny and Brianna. Joanne was a cherished sister to Patricia Tripken and her children Jaclyn Kilroy, Jennifer Tripken and Douglas Tripken, to her brother Patrick Duffy and his wife Elisa and their children Steven and Taylor, and to her brother Stephen Duffy and his wife Kate and their daughter Ryan.
Joanne touched the lives of so many people, including special friends the Carissimo and Schuttenberg families. On behalf of her family, all of her friends meant so much to her. Donations may be made to the Throggs Neck Benevolent Association, PO Box 342, Throggs Neck Station, Bronx, NY 10465.
The family will receive friends at Beecher Funeral Home in Pleasantville on Tuesday, May 4th, at 2-4 and 7-9pm. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Magdalene in Sleepy Hollow on Wednesday, May 5th at 10am, followed by interment at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
