Obituary:
Dennis J. Curtin died at his home in Westhampton Beach, NY on July 3, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. His 62 years were lived with strength, love and humor; shared with a loving family and many dear friends.
Dennis was born in 1947 to the late Anne J. and James Vincent Curtin. He was raised in the Woodlawn section of the Bronx, attended Cardinal Hayes High School and Iona College for undergraduate and graduate school. Dennis, and his wife Gerry, lived in White Plains from 1976 until retiring to Westhampton Beach, NY three years ago. He had a 24-year career at E-Z-EM Inc., was a former member of Orienta Beach Club, a long-time coach of White Plains Youth Soccer Association and parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows and Immaculate Conception Churches.
Along with his wife of 37 years, he is survived by his daughters Elizabeth Traupman, and husband Frank; Meg Owens, and husband Brad; and Annie Curtin; as well as two grandchildren, Kyle and Ava.
Visitation will take place from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 8th at Beecher Funeral Home in Pleasantville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 9th at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish in White Plains, NY. Interment to follow at Cemetery of the Gate of Heaven in Hawthorne, NY.
