| Obituary:
Demetri Demeropoulos, 18, of Briarcliff Manor New York lost his heroic 2 ½ year battle with a spinal cord tumor on Friday evening, May 28th, with his parents, Sally Ann Demeropoulos and Peter Demeropoulos, and his brother Alex by his side. Demetri was born on November 17, 1991 in New York City. He graduated Briarcliff High School in June 2009 on the High Honor Roll. Demetri played Varsity Lacrosse and Varsity Hockey, sports that he loved, and received the Unsung Hero Athletic Award. He was planning to attend Fordham University on academic scholarship. Demetri lived a short and extraordinary life touching so very many people with his infectious smile and laughter. He will be missed beyond measure. He was a loving son, devoted brother, treasured grandson, beloved nephew, adored cousin and cherished friend. The Wake will be held Mon. May 31 from 7-9 pm and Tues. June 1 from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm at Beecher Funeral Home in Pleasantville, NY. The funeral will be held Wed. June 2 at the Greek Orthodox Church of Our Saviour, Rye, NY. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to cordfoundation.org, please specify for Dr. George Jallo at John Hopkins Hospital. And remember to hug your children.
