Michael H. Doherty, 50, resident of Pleasantville, New York, died Thursday afternoon of cardiac arrest. A lifelong New Yorker and Giants fan, Michael was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and earned a Bachelors of Arts degree from Marist College. Michael worked on Wall Street for more than 20 years, where he was most recently at J.P. Morgan’s Futures and Options division.
Most of all, he treasured his time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife Lisl Stanton Doherty of San Diego, California, whom he married in July 2008, his son Gerald, daughter Bridget, their mother Carmel, brothers Hughie and Bryan, his mother Barbara, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A wake will be held on Monday, March 15 at Beecher Funeral Home, 418 Bedford Road, Pleasantville, New York. Visitation hours are 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, March 16, 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 82 Lake Road, Congers, New York. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate that contributions be made to a fund being established for his children’s education. |
