Obituary:
Daniel B. Lorusso entered into eternal rest on December 9, 2010. He was 95 years old. Daniel was born in New Rochelle In 1915. He graduated from Advanced Transportation Academy and became the Director of the Interstate Commerce Commission, until his retirement in 1980.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 45 years Nettie (Cardillo). They resided in Pelham.
He became President of the Catholic Widow and Widowers where he met his wife of 23 years, Lois (Golan), they reside in Pleasantville.
He is survived by his son Daniel, wife, Anita, daughter, Maryanne, and son in law Raymond Vancura, son Dominic, and wife Mary, and daughter, Terri Lorusso, who predeceased him. He was a grandfather to 8, Lisa, Daniel, Christopher, Jimmy, Debbie, Michael, Nicholas, and Maria, and a great grandfather to 9. He also leaves behind, 3 sisters, Mae Lucia, Mildred Altenheim, and Florence Masucci.
He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, father in law, grandfather, and great grandfather who was devoted to his family.
Family will receive friends Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Beecher Funeral Home, Pleasantville. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 10 AM, Holy Innocents Church, Pleasantville. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to Alzheimer’s Association, 2900 Westchester Avenue, Purchase, NY 10577 would be appreciated.
