Obituary:
Rosemary Reen Martell of Pleasantville formerly of The Bronx, died March 17, 2010, she was 92. Born in the Wakefield section of the Bronx, on April 3, 1918 the daughter of Denis & Rose (Miller) Reen. She graduated St. Barnabus High School in Yonkers, in 1936 and received a B.S. from College of New Rochelle in 1940.
She married Foster A. Martell at Blessed Sacrament Church, in the Bronx on September 14, 1943. He predeceased her in 1985.
Mrs. Martell retired as Chief Financial Officer of Gotham Registry in NYC in 1998 after 37 years.
She was a member of Mothers Auxiliary, All Hallows School, Bronx, NY. College of New Rochelle Alumni Organization, and was a communicant of Holy Innocents Church in Pleasantville.
Mrs. Martell is survived by her Children; Terrence (Rita) Martell of Pelham, NY, Foster (Mary Beth) Martell of Brookfield, CT and Kerry (Viola) Martell of Milford, NJ. Her grandchildren; Kathryn, Greg (Erica), Laura, Mallory, Alex, Sara, Dennis & Evan who is now serving in Afghanistan, and her Great-grand child, Brody. Her brother Frank predeceased her.
