Obituary:
Howard A. Olson, of Elmsford, NY died January 22, 2010, he was 85.
Mr. Olson served is country in the 2nd Marine Division during World War II, where he served as a Corporal in operations at Tarawa, Gilbert Islands, Saipan, Tinian, Marians Islands, Okinawa, Shima and Ryukyu Islands, for his service he received many Commendations including a Purple Heart.
After WWII Mr. Olson became a Police Officer, retiring from the Village of Elmsford after more than 35 years on the job.
He is survived by his son Jeffrey Olson and daughter Barbara Borch, 5 Grandchildren and 9 Great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Beecher Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville. Funeral services and are interment private.
