| Obituary:
Arthur A Sarno, of Pleasantville NY, formerly of Eastchester NY, proud grandpa, loving father and devoted husband and uncle, died peacefully in his sleep on September 3, 2010. His bright 86 years were spent cheering on his grand children, lending a helping hand to his children, and happily sharing 54 years with his wife. Whether it was remodeling a bathroom, building miniature furniture, doing a puzzle or taking a walk through town, he always had a smile on his face, a kind word and time to share with others. He treasured every moment with his family and friends. Arthur served proudly in the US Navy from December 15, 1942 until his honorable discharge on January 12, 1947, and enjoyed working many years at the Edgemont School District. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret Sarno, sister Margaret Linke, daughter Debbie Schulman and Jerry of Pleasantville, NY, son Ron Sarno and Lisa of Thornwood, NY, grandchildren Jerry, Chris, Kacie, Danny Schulman, Nick and Samantha Sarno and many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Beecher Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville, NY Mass of Christian Burial, Monday 10 AM, Holy Innocents Church, Pleasantville. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, New Rochelle, NY at a later date. |
