| Obituary:
Carol Sordini died peacefully at Phelps Memorial Hospital on January 17, 2010. Formerly of Pleasantville and the Bronx, Carol was born on July 9, 1917 in N.Y.C. She is predeceased by her parents Anna and Alfred Izzo, her brothers Dr. Charles Izzo, Mario F. Izzo (U.S.N. lost at sea 1944) her husband Peter Sordini and her precious granddaughter, Anne McDonnell. Carol is survived by her daughter Dianne Sordini of Pleasantville and many nieces and nephews. She was a daily Communicant at St. John’s (Kingsbridge) and Holy Innocents where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. Carol devoted her life to the care of her family. Friends may call at the Beecher Funeral Home, Inc. in Pleasantville on Wednesday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM at Holy Innocents R.C. Church. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY. |
