Obituary:
Gertrude Germano, a long time resident of Thornwood, formerly Greenburgh, died December 22, 2009. She was 86.
Gertrude was born to Carl & Mary Olson on August 31, 1923.
She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 56 years, Philip Germano, and two sisters Ellen DiDomenico and Alice DiCintio. Gertrude is survived by her two loving daughters Judy and Jill Germano of Thornwood, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday 3-7 pm at Beecher Funeral Home, Pleasantville. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday 10 adm at Holy Rosary Church, Hawthorne. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh. Donations may be made in her name to Memorial Sloan Kettering.
