Rose Vitale, beloved mother of Dr. Michael J. Vitale (Wife, Marilyn), of Briarcliff Manor, NY, Paul J. Vitale (Wife, Janet) of Pelham Manor, NY, and Dr. William S. Vitale (Partner, Dean Day), of Laguna Beach, CA, died peacefully in her sleep on September 14, 2009. She will be missed by four grandchildren, Lauren, Jonathan (Wife Lisa), Kristy, and Matthew. She was 91 years old. She left us to join her husband Steven in heaven. Rose was a long time resident of Valhalla, New York, and moved to New Rochelle in 2004. She and her late husband raised their family in Valhalla, and were an integral part of the community. Rose was active in PTA, and volunteered at the gift shop at Westchester Medical Center for over 30 years. She will be missed by her friends, family and those whose hearts she has touched. The family will receive friends today, Tuesday, from 4 – 9 PM at the Beecher Funeral Home, Inc. in Pleasantville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 AM at Holy Name of Jesus R.C. Church in Valhalla. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
