Obituary:
Jean Ruth Jaeger of Hawthorne, died June 11, 2009, she was 81.
She was born in the Bronx on April 24, 1928 the daughter of John & Veronica (Ryan) Olson. Mrs. Jaeger was a 1946 graduate of Pleasantville High School. She worked as an Operator in Pleasantville until moving to Hawthorne in 1959.
She married Wilber C. Jaeger at Holy Innocents Church in Pleasantville on June 24, 1951. He predeceased her in 1998.
Mrs. Jaeger loved to meet often with her friends for bible study and discussion.
She is survived by her daughters, Judith Jaeger of Lake Peekskill and Pamela (John) Mayer of Ft. Montgomery, NY. Her sister Katherine Carpenter of Briarcliff Manor and her grandchildren, Joshua Jaeger, Sarah Caporale, Douglas Mayer, Ian Mayer and James Mayer. Her son Kenneth Jaeger predeceased her in 1995.
Calling hours Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Beecher Funeral Home, Pleasantville where funeral services will be held Monday 10 AM. Interment Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
