| Obituary:
Rita T. Meenan, a resident of Pleasantville for 41 years, died July 1, 2009.
She was born in Manhattan, NY to James P. and Margaret T. (McCarthy) Smith.
Rita graduated high school from the Academy of the Sacred Heart. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed attending her needlepoint club. She was a parishioner of St. John & St. Mary’s Church in Chappaqua.
She was a devoted and loving Mother and Grandmother.
Rita is survived by Joseph, her husband of 58 years, her children Gerard Meenan, Ritalynn Owens, James Meenan and Deirdre Scarano, her grandchildren Christopher, Gregory, Kevin, James, Kerry, Sachalyn, Brian, Douglas, Kathleen and Keith, and her five great grandchildren. She is loved by numerous friends and family of County Cork, Ireland.
She is predeceased by her son Joseph and her sisters Catherine, Margaret and Mary.
Visitation will be Thursday (today) 2-4 & 7-9pm at Beecher Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday 10am at Church of St. John & St. Mary, Chappaqua. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Pleasantville.
