Obituary:
Andrew L. Scheer, a life long Chappaqua resident, died June 12, 2009. Mr. Scheer was a graduate of St. Michael’s College, where he received a B.S. in accounting.
Mr. Scheer worked for many years as Deputy Receiver of Taxes for the Town of New Castle. He was a Life Member of Chappaqua Volunteer Fire Department where he held numerous positions. Mr. Scheer was a communicant of The Church of St. John & St. Mary in Chappaqua, where he served as an Usher for more than 50 years.
He is survived by his wife Dolores, his sons, Thomas (Patricia) and Michael (Leah) and 4 grandchildren.
