| Obituary: Monday July 27, 2009, Edward lost a brave, unwavering battle with cancer. He was born January 29, 1948 to devoted parents, Rose and Louis Seminara. Edward was a beloved father, best friend and inspiration to his daughter, Allison. He was a loving husband to his wife, Barbara Miller of Briarcliff Manor. Edward was an adoring brother to his two sisters Camille and Rosemary, brother-in-law to Skip, and uncle to Christopher, Nick, and Kara. He was a dedicated stepfather to Barbara's children, Lauren and Amanda. Edward was also survived by former spouse, Jean Seminara of Greenwich. As a Professional Engineer, he was the Director of Public Works in Westchester County for many years. Edward had many interests including a passion for boating, classical piano, and a love for the New York Giants. All of those around him were touched by his wit, intellect, sense of humor, and humanitarianism. The family will receive friends at the Beecher Funeral Home, Inc. in Pleasantville on Thursday from 7 – 9 PM & on Friday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
